Welcome to Language Translator. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information leaves your device, what stays on your device, and what is never collected — so you can use the app with confidence.

By using Language Translator, you agree to this policy. If you have any questions, contact us at the address shown at the bottom of this page.

• Text you translate — What you type, dictate, or that is read from a photo is sent to a translation service to be translated. Do not put anything into this app that you would not send over the internet.
• Advertising data — The app shows ads through Google AdMob, which uses your device's advertising ID. Where the law requires it, you are asked first, and you can change that answer any time from Privacy Options in Settings.
• App & crash data — Anonymous usage events and crash reports go to Google Firebase so faults can be found and fixed. These record which screens were opened and which languages were chosen. They never include the text you translate.

• History & Favourites — Stored on this device only. Turn history off or erase it from Settings at any time.
• Camera photos — Photos you choose for the camera screen are read on the device itself. The picture is not uploaded — only the text found in it is sent to be translated.

• No account or sign-in — The app does not require any registration.
• No personal identifiers — We never ask for your name or email address.
• No location data — The app does not access your GPS or location.
• No contacts — We never access your contact list.
• No photo library access — Photos are selected by you, per use.

This app uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Google AdMob — Advertising platform
• Google Firebase Analytics — Anonymous usage analytics
• Google Firebase Crashlytics — Crash reporting
• Google ML Kit — On-device text recognition (OCR)
• Google Cloud Translation API — Translation service

This app is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
